Layout and cabinetry
The number and configuration of base, wall and tall units shape the quotation. An island and a tall-storage run need a different specification from a single-wall kitchen.
Cabinet schedule and carcase heights
The number, width and height of base, wall and tall units drive the total. next125 plans on a 125 mm grid with a choice of carcase heights and depths, including the new 61 cm deep carcase; taller carcases, tall units and islands add storage and change the specification.
LumiQ lighting (optional)
next125’s LumiQ lighting can be added to wall units, niches, shelving, grip ledges and plinths. It is optional, and positions, zones and switching are agreed cabinet by cabinet as part of your design.
Interior accessories
Drawer organisers, Flex-Box inserts, cutlery and spice inserts, pull-outs, pantry fittings and corner solutions are chosen to suit how you cook and store, and each is listed in your quotation.
Specialist features

NX 240 front construction & surface.
A layered laminate surface
The NX 240 laminate layer combines phenol resin, decorative paper and a transparent cover coating. The decorative layer creates the finish, while the cover coating forms the outer surface. This is a laminate front, rather than a painted lacquer or solid-wood front.
Fine matt, with anti-fingerprint properties
SensiQ gives NX 240 its soft, velvety feel and fine matt appearance. The AFP coating helps reduce visible finger marks and cleaning effort. It does not make the front fingerprint-proof or remove the need for regular care.

Caring for NX 240 fine matt fronts.
A little care helps preserve the surface’s fine matt character. These points draw on the manufacturer’s matt laminate guidance; the instructions supplied with your installed kitchen take priority.
Routine cleaning
For matt plastic laminate fronts, the manufacturer recommends a moist cloth and a mild cleaning agent, such as a universal cleaner. Wipe away cleaner residue with a moist cloth to avoid streaks, and follow the care instructions supplied with your kitchen.
Keep the fine matt appearance
Use light pressure rather than vigorous rubbing: the manufacturer warns that excessive pressure can create shiny spots on matt laminate. AFP reduces visible finger marks, but spills and everyday marks still need attention.
Treat each material separately
Your fronts, worktop, handles and interior fittings may require different care. Do not apply a stone-worktop treatment or a solid SensiQ repair method to an NX 240 front simply because the finishes look similar.
Before treating a persistent mark
Check the instructions for the exact installed front and cleaning product before using a stronger treatment. If you are unsure, ask us for the appropriate manufacturer guidance rather than experimenting on a visible area.

NX 240 uses a SensiQ laminate front with a fine matt AFP surface. NX 510 is a different next125 range with matt velvet lacquer fronts; a similar matt appearance does not mean the fronts have the same construction.
