Price group 9
NX 950/960 is in next125 price group 9, in our highest tier. The front’s price group is the starting point for every cabinet, so compare quotations on the same range and finish.
Ceramic and edge combinations
Each of the eight ceramic finishes can be planned with either edge, and ceramic can be combined with wood or lacquer fronts elsewhere in the room. Each front is priced by its own range and price group.
Cabinet schedule and carcase heights
The number, width and height of base, wall and tall units drive the total. next125 plans on a 125 mm grid with a choice of carcase heights and depths, including the new 61 cm deep carcase; taller carcases, tall units and islands add storage and change the specification.
LumiQ lighting (optional)
next125’s LumiQ lighting can be added to wall units, niches, shelving, grip ledges and plinths. It is optional, and positions, zones and switching are agreed cabinet by cabinet as part of your design.
Interior accessories
Drawer organisers, Flex-Box inserts, cutlery and spice inserts, pull-outs, pantry fittings and corner solutions are chosen to suit how you cook and store, and each is listed in your quotation.
Specialist features
Tall-unit pocket doors, the top-unit pocket system, swivel-door wall units, Frame Wall shelving, niche systems such as cube and matching living-space pieces add function and character, and are quoted individually.
About the next125 NX 950/960 range.
Best suited to
- Minimal, handleless kitchens with a monolithic look
- Islands contrasting ceramic with wood
- Stone, concrete and marble-effect palettes
- Busy kitchens that value hard-wearing surfaces
NX 950 and NX 960 pair the material honesty of stone-like ceramic with a slim, solid aluminium edge. The edge is the only difference between them, so next125 presents the two ranges together and so do we.
The NX 960 photographs show a marble umbra effect island with lit grip ledges beside NX 640 oak, and a marble nero effect kitchen opposite an NX 620 walnut island. The NX 950 photographs show a concrete-effect island on a low plinth, a sink run and a tall appliance block.
The range’s precise, cubic proportions reflect next125’s Bauhaus-inspired design. The photographs show possible layouts and storage details, not a fixed package or a limit on your choice of finish.
German Kitchen Specialist Ltd focuses on next125, combining personal, premium service with a distinct specialist price advantage. Ask for a quotation based on your own room, layout and specification, rather than a standard package price.

NX 950/960 front construction & surface.
A highly compacted ceramic panel
The manufacturer describes ceramic as a highly compacted material, also used in laboratory technology for its hardness and resistance to aggressive substances. Its surface resists the substances commonly found in kitchens.
Framed in solid aluminium, two edge colours
The ceramic panel is carried by a frame construction and protected on all four sides by a solid aluminium edge: stainless-steel-coloured on NX 950, onyx black on NX 960. The reverse is closed with a filling.
Scratch, cut and chemical resistance
The manufacturer describes ceramic’s outstanding scratch and cut resistance and its resistance to acids and chemicals — the durability that sees it used in laboratories and space technology.
Heat, cutting and hygiene
next125 notes that ceramic is resistant to cutting and heat and that food can be hygienically prepared directly on the material — the reason it has long been used for worktops.
Handleless with grip ledges
The supplied example uses horizontal and vertical grip ledges with integrated LumiQ lighting for a handleless look. Grip systems and lighting are specified for your design.
Different carcase heights
The example combines different carcase heights with a raised Systemo worktop and matching sink, creating a sculpted island. Heights and worktops are individual planning choices.
A natural, recyclable material
Like porcelain, ceramic contains only substances that also occur naturally in this form. The manufacturer describes it as environmentally sound and fully recyclable.

Caring for NX 950/960 fronts.
Ceramic is hard-wearing; gentle care also protects the aluminium edge. The instructions supplied with your installed kitchen take priority; ask us before treating a persistent mark.
Routine cleaning
Wipe the ceramic surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild household cleaner, then dry it. Follow the instructions supplied with your installed finish.
Protect the aluminium edge
Ceramic is very hard-wearing, but the surrounding aluminium edge and frame deserve gentler treatment. Avoid scouring pads and abrasive cleaners on the edge and fittings.
Keep joints and edges dry
Apply cleaning liquid to the cloth rather than the front, and remove residual moisture from edges, joints and fittings.
Care for mixed materials separately
Wood panelling, chopping blocks and worktops each have their own care needs. Treat each material on its own and ask us before tackling a persistent mark.

next125 NX 950/960 kitchens: your questions answered.
Practical information about the range, finishes and your next steps.
What is the difference between next125 NX 950 and NX 960?
Only the edge colour. NX 950 has a stainless-steel-coloured aluminium edge and NX 960 an onyx black edge. The ceramic, eight finishes, construction and price group are the same.
Which should I choose, NX 950 or NX 960?
The onyx black edge of NX 960 frames each front with a fine dark line and suits marble nero, arctic black and dark wood schemes. The stainless-steel-coloured edge of NX 950 is lighter and blends with concrete, limestone and sand tones. Compare both edge samples with your chosen finish.
What is a next125 ceramic front?
An original, highly compacted ceramic panel set in a framed construction with a solid aluminium edge on all four sides. next125 describes ceramic as also used in laboratories for its hardness and resistance to aggressive substances.
How many NX 950 and NX 960 finishes are available?
Eight, shared by both ranges: concrete grey effect, graphite, marble nero effect, arctic black, bianco beige, structured sand, marble umbra effect and limestone grey.
How much does a next125 NX 950 or NX 960 kitchen cost?
Both are in next125 price group 9, in our highest tier. The cabinet schedule, finish, carcase heights, mechanisms and lighting determine the price, so we provide a project-specific quotation.
Is a ceramic kitchen front durable?
next125 describes outstanding scratch and cut resistance, plus resistance to heat, acids and chemicals commonly found in kitchens.
Can NX 950 or NX 960 be planned without handles?
Yes. The NX 950 example uses TIP-ON push-to-open and the NX 960 example uses grip ledges with LumiQ lighting. Where handles are planned, only the range-specific shell handle can be used. Confirm the opening system for each cabinet in your design.
How do I start an NX 950 or NX 960 kitchen design?
Send your contact details, UK postcode and project timeframe through the enquiry form. Plans and project notes are optional; dimensions and storage priorities help shape your design.
Why does the 2022 data sheet list C2055 as concrete grey effect?

Can I cut directly on a ceramic front or worktop?
next125 describes ceramic as resistant to cutting and heat. For worktops, confirm the specific worktop material and its care guidance in your quotation; fronts are not intended as work surfaces.
How do I clean NX 950 ceramic fronts?
Use a soft, damp cloth with a mild cleaner and dry the surface. Avoid abrasive products on the aluminium edge and follow the instructions supplied with your kitchen.
Are the oak tall units part of NX 960?
