next125 NX 680 prices: what shapes your quotation?

NX 680 is quoted to your design, not sold as a fixed package. Your quotation sets out every next125 element of your kitchen — cabinets and fronts, carcase heights, interior accessories, lighting and specialist features — so you can see exactly what shapes the price, with our specialist price advantage reflected throughout.

Price group 8

NX 680 is in next125 price group 8, in our highest tier. The front’s price group is the starting point for every cabinet, so compare quotations on the same range and finish.

The dark wood cabinet schedule

Tall doors, drawers and island panels define the amount and arrangement of NX 680 fronts. Agree the cabinet schedule so different quotations cover the same layout and storage capacity.

Cabinet schedule and carcase heights

The number, width and height of base, wall and tall units drive the total. next125 plans on a 125 mm grid with a choice of carcase heights and depths, including the new 61 cm deep carcase; taller carcases, tall units and islands add storage and change the specification.

LumiQ lighting (optional)

next125’s LumiQ lighting can be added to wall units, niches, shelving, grip ledges and plinths. It is optional, and positions, zones and switching are agreed cabinet by cabinet as part of your design.

Interior accessories

Drawer organisers, Flex-Box inserts, cutlery and spice inserts, pull-outs, pantry fittings and corner solutions are chosen to suit how you cook and store, and each is listed in your quotation.

Specialist features

Tall-unit pocket doors, the top-unit pocket system, swivel-door wall units, Frame Wall shelving, niche systems such as cube and matching living-space pieces add function and character, and are quoted individually.

In detail

About the next125 NX 680 range.

Best suited to

  • Architectural kitchens with dark, tactile oak fronts
  • Open-plan spaces with a strong dark cabinet composition
  • Projects contrasting wood texture with separately specified mirror fronts
  • Individually planned islands, drawer interiors and tall storage

NX 680 combines a dark oak finish with visible brushed grain. Unlike a smooth black front, its texture brings natural depth to the cabinetry. The supplied photographs show both a dark wood island and a contrasting mirror-fronted island, demonstrating different ways to compose the room.

The range’s precise, cubic proportions reflect next125’s Bauhaus-inspired design. The photographs show possible layouts and storage details, rather than a fixed package or a limitation on your choice of finish.

German Kitchen Specialist Ltd focuses on next125, combining personal, premium service with a distinct specialist price advantage. Ask for a quotation based on your own room, layout and specification, rather than a standard package price.

The front in focus

NX 680 front construction & surface.

Brushed oak character

NX 680 uses a brushed wood surface that draws out the oak grain. The resulting texture is different from both the regular vertical grooves of NX 670 and the fine surrounding frame of NX 660.

Dark colour, visible grain

The onyx black finish gives a strong architectural presence without losing the natural wood character. Review the surface in your room’s lighting: grain relief and tone are easier to judge on a physical sample than a screen.

Real wood variation

Natural grain varies across genuine wood fronts. The brushed surface is not a printed repeat pattern, and the material should not be described as a solid-timber door throughout without the exact construction specification.

Mirror is a separate front range

The reflective island in the supplied planning example uses NX 914 mirror fronts. NX 680 remains the brushed wood front; a mixed-material kitchen combines separately chosen surfaces rather than expanding the wood palette.

Dark oak character

Choosing your NX 680 wood finish.

The onyx black finish is defined by both its dark colour and brushed oak texture. Compare a physical sample with your floor, worktop and planned lighting rather than judging the grain from a screen alone.

Oak onyx black solid-colored

A dark, tactile oak surface for a composed architectural kitchen. Daylight and lighting reveal the grain; natural wood variation gives individual fronts their own character.

Contrast without changing the wood palette

Pair NX 680 with a separately specified worktop or complementary front range. The bronze mirror fronts shown in the island photographs belong to NX 914, while the alternative composition uses dark island fronts.

The current manufacturer collection lists one NX 680 finish. NX 650 old oak, other oak palettes and mirror glass are not additional NX 680 finishes.

Living with genuine wood

Caring for NX 680 brushed wood fronts.

Gentle, material-specific care helps protect the wood surface. These points draw on the manufacturer’s wood-front guidance; the instructions supplied with your installed kitchen take priority.

Wipe gently along the grain

Manufacturer wood-front guidance recommends a soft, lint-free cloth with a little lukewarm water. Wipe in the direction of the grain and dry thoroughly afterwards; the instructions for your exact installed finish take priority.

Protect the textured surface

Avoid soaking the front or leaving moisture standing along its edges. Use gentle cleaning rather than abrasive pads or vigorous scrubbing of the brushed grain.

Choose products for the installed finish

Do not assume oils or furniture polishes suit a finished kitchen front. For persistent marks, check the supplied instructions or ask us before experimenting with a treatment.

Keep wood and mirror care separate

The brushed wood, mirror glass and worktop are different surfaces. Follow each material’s care instructions; glass cleaner is not automatically appropriate for NX 680 wood fronts.

Common questions

next125 NX 680 kitchens: your questions answered.

Practical information about the range, finishes and your next steps.

What is next125 NX 680?

NX 680 is the next125 brushed oak front in onyx black. Its tactile grain brings natural character to dark kitchen cabinetry, distinct from a smooth black lacquer surface.

Which NX 680 front finishes are available?

The current NX 680 manufacturer collection lists F815 Oak onyx black solid-coloured. Finishes from NX 640, NX 660 and NX 670 should not be assumed available on NX 680.

How much does a next125 NX 680 kitchen cost?

NX 680 is individually quoted. Cabinet sizes, complementary mirror or other fronts, drawer fittings and lighting shape the total.

How does NX 680 differ from black matt lacquer?

NX 680 retains a visible, tactile wood grain emphasised by brushing. A black matt lacquer front, such as an appropriate NX 510 finish, has a different surface character and its own finish specification.

Do I need the mirrored island shown in the photographs?

No. The images show both a mirror-fronted composition and a dark wood island. The mirror fronts are NX 914; your layout and front combinations are individually planned.

How do I start an NX 680 kitchen design?

Use the enquiry form with your contact details, UK postcode and timeframe. Plans and project notes are optional. We can discuss the cabinetry, storage and surfaces for your individual quotation.

Is the bronze mirror finish part of NX 680?

No. The mirrored island belongs to the separate NX 914 range. NX 680 is the brushed oak front, and its current palette is F815 Oak onyx black solid-coloured.

Is NX 680 a grooved or fluted front?

NX 680 has a brushed oak texture that emphasises natural grain. NX 670 is the separate next125 range with regular vertical grooves; these are different surface treatments.

Are the drawer organisers and tall pull-outs included?

They are individual planning features shown in the photographs, not a universal package. Agree drawer interiors, pull-outs and shelving in your own cabinet specification.

Will every NX 680 front have identical grain?

No. Genuine wood introduces natural variation. A physical sample shows the finish and texture, rather than guaranteeing an identical pattern across all doors and drawers.

How should I clean NX 680 brushed wood fronts?

Follow the instructions for the installed finish. Manufacturer wood-front guidance recommends a soft cloth, a little lukewarm water, wiping along the grain and drying thoroughly. Avoid soaking the surface and using abrasive tools.
