next125 NX 510 brings a soft matt velvet lacquer surface to precise, architectural cabinetry. A quietly premium surface, considered with specialist attention to design and pricing.

Available fronts & finishes

Colours and natural grain may vary from the screen. Confirm your preferred finish with a physical sample.

The palette contains 23 standard colours plus the L982M custom colour-system option. AFP applies to the finishes marked AFP, not every colour. Match the official code and finish designation; screen colours are not a substitute for physical standard-colour samples or an agreed custom colour reference.

next125 NX 510 prices: what shapes your quotation?

NX 510 is quoted to your design, not sold as a fixed package. Your quotation sets out every next125 element of your kitchen — cabinets and fronts, carcase heights, interior accessories, lighting and specialist features — so you can see exactly what shapes the price, with our specialist price advantage reflected throughout.

Price group 3

NX 510 is in next125 price group 3, in our entry tier. The front’s price group is the starting point for every cabinet, so compare quotations on the same range and finish.

Cabinetry and lacquer selection

The cabinet count and configuration shape the quotation. Specify whether you want a standard NX 510 colour or a custom colour-system finish, and compare the same front codes when reviewing alternative designs.

Cabinet schedule and carcase heights

The number, width and height of base, wall and tall units drive the total. next125 plans on a 125 mm grid with a choice of carcase heights and depths, including the new 61 cm deep carcase; taller carcases, tall units and islands add storage and change the specification.

LumiQ lighting (optional)

next125’s LumiQ lighting can be added to wall units, niches, shelving, grip ledges and plinths. It is optional, and positions, zones and switching are agreed cabinet by cabinet as part of your design.

Interior accessories

Drawer organisers, Flex-Box inserts, cutlery and spice inserts, pull-outs, pantry fittings and corner solutions are chosen to suit how you cook and store, and each is listed in your quotation.

Specialist features

Tall-unit pocket doors, the top-unit pocket system, swivel-door wall units, Frame Wall shelving, niche systems such as cube and matching living-space pieces add function and character, and are quoted individually.

In detail

About the next125 NX 510 range.

Best suited to

  • Minimalist kitchens with a soft matt velvet lacquer surface
  • Open-plan spaces with clean, architectural proportions
  • Projects seeking a wide standard or custom lacquer palette
  • A considered design with individually chosen fronts, storage and worktops

NX 510 offers matt velvet lacquer fronts, with 23 standard colours and a custom colour-system option. Many standard finishes carry AFP, while crystal grey L122M and agate grey L277M are listed without it. Check the precise designation rather than assuming every colour is anti-fingerprint.

The range’s precise, cubic proportions reflect next125’s Bauhaus-inspired design. The photographs show possible layouts and storage details, rather than a fixed package or a limitation on your choice of finish.

German Kitchen Specialist Ltd focuses on next125, combining personal, premium service with a distinct specialist price advantage. Ask for a quotation based on your own room, layout and specification, rather than a standard package price.

Our specialist approach

Surface character
A soft matt velvet appearance and tactile finish, with a water-based dual-cure lacquer system and UV drying described in the manufacturer’s lacquer guidance.
Anti-fingerprint options
Most standard finishes carry the AFP designation. Crystal grey L122M and agate grey L277M are listed without AFP; confirm the exact finish code.
Colour choices
23 standard colours, plus L982M for RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and NCS lacquer colours. Custom colours require individual confirmation.
Planning possibilities
The supplied mixed NX 510 / NX 914 design features a top-unit pocket system, a highboard and Woodbox drawer interiors. These are separately specified planning options, not the NX 510 front construction.

The front in focus

NX 510 front construction & surface.

Lacquer, rather than laminate

NX 510’s defining surface is matt velvet lacquer. The manufacturer describes a water-based dual-cure lacquer system with UV drying for its lacquer fronts. This is a different surface construction from the layered SensiQ laminate of NX 240; a similar matt appearance does not make the two materials interchangeable.

Separate the front from the fittings

The supplied planning sheet combines NX 510 with NX 914 glass and complementary wood elements. Its top-unit pocket system conceals appliances and an additional work surface behind doors; the highboard and Woodbox drawer interiors are planning options, not materials built into every NX 510 front.

Check the exact AFP designation

The standard NX 510 palette includes many anti-fingerprint finishes. Crystal grey L122M and agate grey L277M are listed as matt velvet without AFP. Match the name and official code when specifying the front, and do not assume a custom lacquer colour shares every property of a standard AFP finish.

A wider colour brief

Alongside the standard palette, L982M offers RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and NCS lacquer colours. This is a custom colour-system option, not a single swatch. Agree the precise colour reference, availability and finish properties before finalising the order.

The matt velvet palette

Choosing your NX 510 front colour.

Compare the 23 standard colours alongside your flooring, worktop and lighting. Check AFP designations separately from colour. L982M extends the palette through RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and NCS lacquer colours; it represents a custom colour system, not a single additional shade.

Living with matt velvet lacquer

Caring for NX 510 matt velvet lacquer fronts.

A little care helps preserve the lacquer’s matt velvet character. These points draw on the manufacturer’s matt velvet lacquer guidance; the instructions supplied with your installed kitchen take priority.

A soft cloth and lukewarm water

For matt velvet lacquer, the manufacturer recommends a soft, lint-free cloth and lukewarm water. Use the instructions supplied with your installed kitchen as the primary care reference.

Mild cleaning, then dry

The manufacturer permits a mild universal cleaner for light soiling. Remove cleaning residue and dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to reduce streaks. Check product suitability for your exact lacquer finish.

Avoid abrasive utensils

Do not use abrasive cleaning utensils on the lacquer surface. For persistent or greasy marks, consult the manufacturer’s lacquer guidance before choosing a stronger product; laminate or worktop treatments are not interchangeable with lacquer care.

Care for each material separately

A design that combines lacquer, glass, wood and a stone worktop needs material-specific care. AFP helps reduce visible finger marks but does not remove the need to clean spills and everyday marks.

Common questions

next125 NX 510 kitchens: your questions answered.

Practical information about the range, finishes and your next steps.

What is the next125 NX 510 front made from?

NX 510 is a matt velvet lacquer front. It is not the SensiQ laminate used for NX 240, a wood front or the mirror glass used for NX 914.

Does every NX 510 colour have an anti-fingerprint finish?

No. Most standard colours carry the AFP designation, but crystal grey L122M and agate grey L277M are listed without it. AFP reduces visible finger marks; it does not make a front cleaning-free. Custom-colour properties should be confirmed separately.

How many NX 510 colours are available?

The current manufacturer palette contains 23 standard colours, plus the L982M custom lacquer option using RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and NCS colours. The custom tile represents a colour system rather than a single additional shade.

How much does a next125 NX 510 kitchen cost?

NX 510 is quoted to your project, not sold here as a fixed package. Cabinet quantities, carcase heights, internal storage, standard or custom finish and lighting all affect the quotation.

How do I start an NX 510 kitchen design?

Share your contact details, UK postcode and project timeframe using the enquiry form. Room plans and project notes are optional, but dimensions and your preferred appliances, storage and worktops help us discuss a considered specification.

Are the photographed layouts the only NX 510 options?

No. They are manufacturer planning examples, including mixed-material combinations. Your room layout, front colours, complementary ranges, handles and storage are specified individually.

What delivery and guarantee terms apply?

Ask German Kitchen Specialist Ltd to confirm delivery arrangements and the applicable guarantee terms with your individual quotation. A photographed design does not imply a standard service package or fixed lead time.

Can I order NX 510 in a custom colour?

The L982M option uses RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and NCS lacquer colours. Confirm the exact colour reference and availability with us. The manufacturer’s standard material sample service does not offer samples for these custom colour systems, so do not treat the illustrated custom tile as a sample of your chosen shade.

How do I clean NX 510 matt velvet lacquer?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth with lukewarm water and follow the supplied lacquer care instructions. The manufacturer allows a mild universal cleaner for light soiling, recommends thorough drying after cleaning and warns against abrasive cleaning utensils.

What is the difference between NX 510 and NX 240?

NX 510 uses matt velvet lacquer; NX 240 uses SensiQ fine matt laminate. They have distinct surfaces and palettes. Choose by material, tactile character and the exact finish code, not just a similar screen colour.

Is the mirror glass in the data sheet an NX 510 finish?

No. The supplied sheet illustrates a combined NX 510 / NX 914 design. NX 510 is the matt velvet lacquer range; the mirror-glass front belongs to NX 914 and must be specified separately.

Can NX 510 be planned with a concealed appliance work area?

The supplied manufacturer design features a top-unit pocket system with a work surface behind the doors. Discuss its suitability for your room, appliance needs and cabinetry; it is a separately specified option, not an inclusion with every NX 510 kitchen.
